Jane Hali launched Jane Hali & Associates (JHA) in 2015. She developed PIE + O™, the company’s trademarked and proprietary research methodology for analyzing retailers and brands when she recognized the 4Ps of Retail were outdated.
Jane has over 30 years of diverse experience in retail, wholesale and consulting to the investment community, Jane’s international experience includes CMO, Chief Merchandising Officer, at Rodier Paris USA where she led the buying and merchandising for the U.S. chain of stores. She was also a C-level executive at Planet Retail Investment Research.
Jane’s previous executive experience includes the Doneger Group, Doneger Consulting and The Coleman Research Group as Vice President and Director of Retail & Merchandise Consulting. She also worked in wholesale for the Jones Apparel Group and Anne Klein. Jane rose quickly through the ranks at Macy’s where she spent over 10 years serving in various merchandising and store line positions. She began her retail career at Bloomingdale’s.
Jane has been recognized and quoted by Women’s Wear Daily, The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Business Week, USA Today, ICSC Today, Bloomberg News, Reuters, Vogue Business, Business of Fashion, Mergers & Acquisitions and Le Monde, France. She has also appeared on CNBC, CNN, Bloomberg and NPR.
Jessica Ramírez is a Retail Research Analyst for JHA, located in New York City. She runs the international team of JHA researchers and has presented JHA research at industry events. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
Jessica has over a decade of international retail experience spanning department store management, trend research, e-commerce, digital and retail analytics.
Ms. Ramírez most recently worked as a trend data analyst for WGSN. She spent 4 years at WGSN in London and New York City, working across various roles. She has worked for Harrods, Burberry, Ted Baker and as the brand manager for Solitude Twins.
Ms. Ramírez holds an international BA in Fashion Marketing from AIU London. She also attended Central St. Martins and received certifications in both Fashion Branding and Fashion Journalism.
